Now they have their own festival, reaching from Tønder to Varde.

On board the former fishing boat Rosa Paluka we have great possibilities to get close to the sandbanks without disturbing the seals when they rest. This tour will give you a unique perspective on the conditions in one of the world’s most important tidal areas.

Black Sun is a magical natural phenomenon when thousands of starlings shape-shift and dance at the evening sky. Flocks of starlings spending their days searching for food in the marshland and Wadden Sea area. At sunset the starlings gather to roost knowing that it’s a matter of life and death when hungry predator birds set in an attack.
The kite festival in September on the beach at Lakolk is a spectacular show, when thousands of kites in all sizes and colours of the rainbow rise into the air.
Tønder Culture Week 2017s theme this year is "Vingesus".
The opening will take place in Bredebro and the Culture Week will end in Toftlund.
Tønder is the place, if you wish to get into the right Christmas atmosphere. As soon as the Christmas illumination creates cheerfulness in the streets, the activities will start. The festivities begin with the large Santa Claus parade through the town, and runners dressed in Santa Claus costumes take to their heels in the yearly Santa Run.
